TCAP Prep Documents: The State Deptartment of Education has provided both Item Samplers and Practice Tests for use by students to prepare for the upcoming TCAP tests in April. These documents are all Acrobat pdfs. Here are the descriptions and links from the state web site: Item Samplers The Item Samplers provided below contain questions that are representative of the types of questions that will be on Spring TCAP Achievement Test. Each test item in the Item Sampler is presented with the Reporting Category and Performance Indicator. In a classroom learning session, these questions can be used to prepare students for the actual test. An answer key for the sample questions is provided at the end of each Item Sampler. Sixth Grade Item Sampler  ~  Seventh Grade item Sampler  ~  Eighth Grade item Sampler Practice Tests The Practice Tests contain the same number of test items per content area that would be found on the actual Achievement Test taken in the Spring. The design and layout are very similar to the actual test as well to better familiarize students with the test format. Practice tests can be used in the classroom setting to simulate a real testing session. An answer key for the practice questions is provided at the end of each Practice Test. State of Gresham Meeting, March 11, 2010 Part One School Counselor Ashli Miser gives an overview of No Child Left Behind standards and proficiency levels for the upcoming TCAP tests. Part Two Gresham Math Teacher Jennifer Cochran explains our results on last year's tests, and outlines our work in preparation for this year's tests. Part Three Ashli Miser discusses high school course planning, Central High School Principal Danny Trent and Freshman Principal Jane Gray Browning discuss new directions for CHS, and GMS Principal Donna Parker makes concluding remarks.

Gresham awarded $25,000 Science Grant!!! Sixth grade science teacher Jenny Alvey was the recipient of an extensive grant for classroom technology. See the photo below, and here is the News-Sentinel coverage.
