Next Year's Schedule information
With the further implementation of Common Core Standards, we are realigning our Master Schedule to address the requirements of a more rigorous curriculum. Language Arts and Reading will be combined into one course (ELA), and all core curriculum classes (Math, ELA, Science and Social Studies) will be extended to 75 minutes in length. Related Arts courses will be 60 minutes in length. Students will be enrolled in two Related Arts classes and will attend one of them each day on an alternating schedule. We will continue to offer Intervention and Enrichment opportunities each day. Please feel free to contact the school, or your child’s teacher, if you have any questions. A link with further information regarding Common Core State Standards may be found on the Knox County Schools homepage.  Click here to download this information.
HealthierUS School Challenge

Gresham Middle School received Bronze Status in the HealthierUS Schools Challenge. The award is a result of Knox County Schools Coordinated School Health and Knox County Schools Food and Nutrition department who work collaboratively to meet established
criteria. The HealthierUS School Challenge was introduced through Michelle Obama’s national “Let’s Move!” campaign to fight childhood obesity. It is intended to help Americans take positive steps to improving personal health though a nutritious diet, physical activity, preventative screenings and healthy food choices.
Attention Parents of Current 6th Graders
Current 6th Parents, beat the RUSH! If you are a parent of a current 6th grade student you need to contact your medical provider or Knox County Health Department at 215-5150 to see if your child has proof of Tdap and (2) Chickenpox vaccines. Your child will need proof of these vaccinations on a new TN Certificate of Immunization turned in to the school office before they can enter the 7th grade. You are urged to obtain the immunizations and/or certificates now and turn them in before the end of the current school year.
