Whether you’re new to our school or a longtime Gresham Middle School family, we want to provide the resources you need to achieve success.
This is a central hub for students and families to easily access information for navigating the school and school day, including enrollment, student handbooks, information about schedules, extra curricular activities, and more!

Enrollment
Gresham Middle School serves students in 6th, 7th, and 8th grade.
Students who are zoned for Gresham and attended a Knox County elementary school for 5th grade are automatically enrolled.
Enrollment for students who are new to the districts must be completed in person by a parent or legal guardian.

Daily Schedule
At Gresham Middle, the school day begins at 8:30 a.m. and ends at 3:30 p.m. on regular school days.
Students must attend for at least 3.5 hours to be counted present for the day.

Student Supports
The entire staff of Gresham Middle is committed to establishing an atmosphere in which children will feel safe, secure, and happy so they maximize their opportunities to learn and achieve. The school has trained counselors and social workers on staff.

Athletics, Clubs, and Arts
Gresham offers a variety of during-school and after-school activities—including athletics, clubs, and performing/visual arts—that give students the chance to build new skills, connect with peers, and explore personal interests.

Library / Media Center
Our library is a hub for student learning, reading, and discovery. In addition to the school library, teachers may maintain individual collections of age-appropriate books in their classrooms to support literacy and foster a love of reading.
Support Organization
Gresham Middle School is supported by a strong network of parent and community organizations through the GMS PTSO, a group dedicated to raising funds to strengthen academics, athletics, and the arts.
